MUDDY TRACK RACING AT CHEYENNE Threatening Weather Reduces Attendance Withdrawals Few; but Disappointments Frequent. Cheyenne, "Wyo., August 27. The heavy rains of Inst night and all tho-forenoon today put the track in a" muddy condition. The weather continued threatening and reduced the attendance considerably. Mud- racing was the order of the afternoon and it took well seasoned horses to negotiate in the going that prevailed. The withdrawals were light and nearly all the entries carded to go faced the starter. During the afternoon horses that have run well on other tracks in the mud raced rather disappointingly here. Skinny B. defeated Prepaid, the public did not give him much consideration. Ho was away a trifle slow, but just reveled in the going and won with plenty to spare. Thirst won the fourth. She broke sideways at the barrier and looked as if she did not have a chance, but the track just suited her and she wore her opposition down to win in the last stride.
