Won driving; second and third the sune PEEP SIGHT moved up steadily on the outside on the backstretch, then followed the leader cioselv and took the lead in the last eighth, but just lasted long enough to withstand AVOODTRAPS Hiillenge The latter raced in close quarters next to the inner rail in the early running, but closed up gamely under minishment when clear and would Jiave Avon in another stride, FAVOUR was fractious at the post and began badly, then raced extremely wide, but closed a big gap. SLEEPY SAM . saved, ground on the turns, graduallv improved his position and ran a creditable race. KING BAGGOT tired after showing the most speed for five-eighths. NIGHTSTICK, away badly, gamed on the leaders in the last quarter, but nulled up lame. HEMLOCK tired. POMP could never secure a clear course. .TOSEFINA KARATE showed scant speed in the going. SUA ER SANDALS closed up steadily in the last Quarter and would have been second in another .stride. TORCHBEARER led under stout restraint for three-quarters, but quit badly when challenged. LADY MOLL raced in the deepest going all the way and quit in the final drive. OBOLUS was never prominent. SUN BRIAR, after being a forward contender from the start, closed up with a resolute challenge ill the homestretchind, passing TOP COAT, outstayed PAPP in the final drive. PAPP, on the outside of the leaders for the entire way, made a wide turn into the homestretch and closed up steadily, but "was tiring in the closing strides of a game finish. SYCAMOOR gradually improved his position while racing extremely wide all the way and, finishing gamely, got up in the final stride for third place. ROSIL OGRADY was hard ridden, hut tired after racing into the lead. TOP COAT set the pace under slight restraint in the early running and saved ground on the stretch turn, but also tired under punishment near the end. WAR CLOUD began slowly and closed a big gap.
