ROSS HORSES ON WAY TO LOUISVILLE Louisville. Ky.. April S. — George Reed arrived yesterday from Hot Springs ami announced that the following horses belonging to J. K. L. Ross were on their way to Churchill Downs: Lindsev. Sir Edgar. Buchanan Brady. Kathryn Gray. Mauokin. Valais. Scourgnnan and several two-year-olds. Mr. Reed stated that a number of Mr. Ross Derby elig-ibles, now iu training at tlie Ross farm in Maryland, would shortly arrive to complete their training for their Derby engagements on the local track. Terrv OMallev. who purchased the four-year old filly Diversion f»r ,900 at the Colrigan dis-liersal sale, lias arranged to have her shipped to the Downs, where her training will be undertaken by Kay Speuce. Tlie filly is now at Lexington in , the care of T. P. Hayes. T. L. Pierce, who has had charge of three two year-olds, all bv Approval, belonging to T. W. OBrien, shipped them yesterday to Mr. OBriens ; traiuer, Tom Shannon at Havre de Grace. They wintered well and are well advanced in their training. J. N. Huffman arrived today from Hot Springs. bringing his old standby, Mary H. He won several j races with this mare at New Orleans, and believes she will be a good breadwinner in Kentucky this I spring. Huffman has several two-year-olds near Lexington that lie will have shipped to Douglas Park shortly.
