JOHN SANFORDS BIG RACING STABLE Comprises Thirty-One Head Divided Into Two Divisions — Preston Burch and J. W. Young Trainers. New Vork. May 11. — John Sanford has a string of thirty one horses in training for the iniiing racing over the metro|Hilitan tracks. The string is divided between two trainers, lreston Burch having f if teen in charge, while J. W. Young has the remain der. Baeh trainer has four older horses in charge, Burch having eleven two-year -obis in his division and Young an even dozen. George Smith is the star of the Burch band, while the sensational Tip-pity Witchet heads the Young list. Trainer J. W. Young was engaged by Mr. Sanford after II. Hughes, who trained a division of Ihe Sanford stable last year, had been called to the colors. Mr. Sanford has first call on the crack apprentice rider Ceorge Walls, who will do the light weight riding for the stable, and W. Kelsay will also lie with the stable. The horses are quartered at Jamaica and are said to be in splendid condition. Following are the horses ! comprising the two divisions: Trained by Preston Burch.
