f : f I GOOD SHOWING OF SMALL STABLE OF LAST YEAR WHICH INCLUDED I I I THE FUTURITY WINNER IN ITS LIST OF MONEY EARNERS Only eight horses raced in the name of 1. A. Clark in 191S and two of them did not win a cent. However, it is quality and not quantity that counts heavily in .racing as in other pursuits and by virtue of numbering one equine whale in his small stable Mr. Clark wound up his campaign in tenth position in the winning owners list. Of his comfortable stable total of .2,111, his gallant Futurity winner, Dunboyne, turned in 2,030 and in money won was only excelled by five other horses. His victory in the Futurity was achieved with such ease that not a few good judges of horse form have been inclined to assign him first place among the good two-year-olds of last year. If all goes well with him he will probably take a distinguished part in the big stake races for three-year-olds of 1019 and is one of the lucky ones eligible to the 6,000 Latonia Championship Stakes at Latonia next fall. Of the other horses in the Clark stable Lion dOr, Battle, Midnight Sun and Merry Princess each won more than ,000 and so raced profitably for their owner. The stable record was as follows: Horse.
