INTEREST IN STAR HAWKS RETURN Considerable interest is being displayed in the return of A. K. Macombers Star Hawk to the races this year. This six-year-old son of Sunstar Sweet Finch lias been entered in several of the big eastern handicaps, and if lie will stand training may prove a formidable opponent for the best of them. Star Hawk has not been seen on the turf since his three-year-old season. That year he ran second to George Smith in the Kentucky Derby, second to Chicle in the Brooklyn Derby, second to Spur in the Travers and scored victories in the Lawrence Realization, Louisville Cup and the Locust Valley Handicap, making his last start of the year in the Latonia Cup, in which he was beaten by Pif Jr. Altogether, Star Hawk started in seven races that year without finishing unplaced, winning three and being second four times. He won ,170 and was considered a high-class race horse.
