BEAUTIFUL TROPHY FOR LATONIA RACE LATONIA Ky June 14 The Enquirer Handi ¬ cap Trophy an artistic threehandled solid silver cup given by E B McLean as the prize to tin ¬ winner of the Enquirer Handicap to be rim at Latonia June 21 has lieen pronounced by expert jewelers to be the handsomest prize ever offered at a Latonia meeting The cup is seventeen inches high It boars the name of the race the donor and the date The work is entirely handchased There is a design of sea horses brought out close to the base of the cup Skillfully wrought horse heads appear on the base pruiicr while a design of wind ¬ ing oak leaves has been carried out on the sides in simple severe style This is the second year that Mr McLean has offered the prize cup for the En ¬ quirer Handicap race Last year Boniface owned by J S Ward carried off the prize in what then was a threequartermile event This year the distance has been increased to one mile
