Start good and slow for all but ROBERT BRADLEY". Won easily; second and third driving. NIGHTSTICK gradually improved his position and, finishing fast, drew away in the last eighth to win easing up. BACK BAY was a forward contender all the way, but swerved badly in the stretch, causing VALERIE WEST to pull up, for which he was disqualified. THOS. F. McMAHON raced on the outside of the leaders all the way and came with a rush through the last eighth. FRANK WATERS ran a good race. IIOHOKCS was crowded back after the start. VALERIE WEST raced into the lead, but was forced back in the homestretch and pulled up quite lame. COCK O THE ROOST raced in close pursuit of the leaders all the way. but tired when put under punishment. EDITH K., clear of interference on the outside of the leaders, closed up gamely in the stretcli, but tired ill the closing strides. CASTOR quit after going a half in the lead. The latter was saved behind the leader under a hard pull for three-quarters, but failed in the final drive. KEEN JANE was always outpaced. CLAQUER raced into the lead and drew away after entering the stretch, but tired when challenged. SUNNYXAND ran a fairly good race and easily outstayed TICKET. COURCELLES raced. in nearest pursuit of the leader, but tired in the stretch and just lasted long enough to withstand P. G. KINGS challenge. The latter met with repeated interference ...... and ran a good race. The others were never serious contenders.
