ANOTHER WIN FOR OPHELIA . ! ! Mrs. J. E. Davis Fast Filly Scores Her Fourth Straight Victory. Yesterdays Bowie Racing Replete with Close and Interesting Finishes. BOWIE, Md., November 19. Mrs. .T. K. Davis good filly Ophelia scored her fourth consecutive victory when she captured the Rennings Purse, the fourth and feature nice of tlie good program offered at Prince George Park this afternoon. Kice took til; favorite to the front almost at the rise of the barrier and she never left the issue in doubt. Hounding the far turn Duchess Lace and Drummond were racing like a team in closest pursuit of the flying leader, when Drummond dropped back Ircaten and the Miller filly had no opposition for second place. Decidedly keen and exciting finishes marked the running of a majority of the other races. Widow Bedotte, Whimsy and Col. Murphy winning by narrow margins after hard stretch drives. Pontypridd scored a decisive victory in the second race, leading by a wide margin throughout. Col. Murphy led all the way in the opener, but was doing his best at the end to withstand the fast dotting rush -of Link Boy. It ,was . even . closer in the third race, only a nose separating Whimsy from .Tyntee after a terrific stretch struggle, the outcome of which wis in doubt until the official .placing was announced. Again In the fifth Widow Uedotte earned the decision by the smallest of margins, with Queen of the Sea suffering at the end from a weak rijle, while in the following race Mother in Law, Tit for Tat and Little Ed were so tishtly bunched as they crossed the winning line that only the judges were able to separate them. Before the running of the first race today Paul Powers of Washington purchased at private sale the two-year-old Sadie D., and she ran in the interests of her new owner in that race. A cold, raw wind swept the course today, which made winter wearing apparel a necessity for comfort, but despite the disagreeable conditions a large crowd was in attendance and the track was fnnt.
