D0NNAC0NA NEXT TO MAN 0 WAR Exile, on the edge of a visit to the Maryland racing grounds, farms and stables, writes: Dominique. Donnacona and Faisan Dorc are good colts. Dominique lias great speed and hung on in the Walden better than I thought he would. Faisan Dore, an improver, must not be left out in Derby calculations. Donnacona is a real colt, susceptible of great improvement. He was ill during the spring and Max Ilirsch has been easy with him. He is sure to improve twenty pounds on his this years form. Donnacona is rather straight in front, his only fault; is like his sire in color, jaw and the way he carries his tail. His work for the Walden was a- mile 1:45. If he had had a mile in 1:41 or better he could not have lost the Walden. I reckon him the next best colt to Man o War."
