SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF HESPERUS ItY F. L. McKENNEY. SAN FRANCISCO, Cal., August 24. Seventeen yearlings belonging to A. K. Maeomber have been broken., at tlie San Jose Driving Park, San Jose, and are being galloped along the home stretch. All of the youngsters are doing well. Amoug the "habjes" is a well turned, short cqtipled bay colt by the Star Shoot horso Uncle Sunboniiet, winner of the Kentucky Oaks. Then there is a" beautiful filly by the Sunstar horse Star Hawk Cugrail, ii daughter of Canard and tlie well remembered mare Grail. She is inbred to tlie Ormonde horse. Goldfinch through the American bred Sweet Finch, tlam of Star Hawk, and Cunard, sire of Cugrail. Other yearlings are by Dodge and Trap Rook, brother of Tracery, and by the Smstar horse Hesperus. Seven are by Hesperus, which was by Sun-star Our Lassie, by Ayrshire Yours, by Melton. Hesperus died hist year when only six years old. The yearlings by Hesperus are: Chestnut colt, dam Rural Delivery, by Mortlake. Brown colt, dam Mcrtora, by Mortlake. . Cliesjtnut colt, dam Narcotic, by Mortlake. Chestnut colt, dam Lathcnju, .by Mortlake. Ilrown colt, dam Instigation, by InstaRatar. Ihiy coif, Jam Bella Mayes, by Borgia or Rorghesi. Brown filly, dam Maid of Athens, by Borgia.
