The latter gradually improved his position on the outside and finished fastest of all. SANTA CLAUS raced RALLYNEW into defeat and tired in the stretch drive. FLUFF, shuffled back at the start, closed a Tig gap. GILT FRINGE met with interference. RALLYNEW set a fast pace and quit in the last eighth. SQUAW MAN wheeled at the start. NATURALIST led tinder a hard pull for the first three-eighths, but seemed to sulk when called on. The latter was a forward contender all the way, but tired in the stretch. HUONEC finished gamely. IVERNIAN and PAVIA quit.
