LEADING WINNERS OF THE YEAR THIRTY-SIX HORSES HAVE ALREADY WON OVER f 15,000 EACH INCOMPARABLE MAN 0 WAR STANDS ALONE AT THE TOP OF THE LIST The big money offered to be raced for this year is reflected in the fact that already thirty-six horses have won 5,000 or more. Sfnce quite a number of valuable stake races remain to be decided, it is obvious the accounts of some of these warriors of the track are to be swelled considerably before the years book is closed. Man o War is the unchallenged leader in money won, and so he will remain to the end. Next to him is the sturdy campaigner, Exterminator, with a noble record of faithful and consistent service. Boniface, an admirable specimen of the handicap horse, is third, but a few dollars in advance of the Kentucky Derby winner, Paul Jones, now in anything but the form of a Derby winner. The Futurity victress, Step Lightly, heads the winning two-yearrolds, with Leonardo II. and Careful not far behind her. Sir Barton does not make a great showing, but he has not raced much tills year. H. P. Whitneys four crack three-year-olds, John P. Grier, Upset, Wildair and Dr. Clark, have won between them 07,700, and it will be a surprise to many to observe that Dr. Clark has won more than any of the other three.
