BRIGHT PROSPECTS FOR NEW ORLEANS . LATONIA, Ky., October 20. R. S. Eddy, general manager of the New Orleans Fair Grounds, and B. C. McClelland, president of the Business Mens Association, under whose auspices the Fair Grounds racing is conducted, were arrivals today from the Crescent City. Both spoke glowingly of the prospects for next winters racing. They intend remaining in these parts for about ten days to do missionary work in behalf of their association. Their full plans witli respect to stakes, purses and other details pertaining to the Fair Grounds meeting will be unfolded to the horsemen tomorrow night at the meeting of the Thoroughbred Horse Association,- to be held in the Sihton Hotel convention hall. "At present," said Mr. Eddy, "we are putting our track and stables in order for the accommodation of those owners who shortly will begin shipping to our track. The improvements that we are making on our plant will redound witli benefit to our patrons and also assist in better racing. The resoiling of the track will be beneficial to the horses at exercise, as well as those taking part in the racing."
