HEAVY BETTING IN NEW ZEALAND Totalizator investments made tremendous strides In New Zeuland in the season 1919-20, as compared with 1918-19. During the recently-concluded season the turnover Avas 3,962,850, of which 4,714,972 , was invested in racing and ,248,077 at trotting meetings. In 1918-19 the sum of 2,810,570 was put through at thoroughbred and ,745,827 at trotting, .races, the total being 8,662,397. Consequently, the advance last year was 5,300,452.
