WINNER OF MANCHESTER HANDICAP LONDON, England, November 29. The Manchester November Handicap, one of the important Autumn races, was run Friday and won by Lord Zetlands Pomme-de-Terre, the topweight and second choice, in gallant fashion. There was an enormous crowd out to see the race in wet, misty weather and cn a sticky and holding track. Pomme-de-Terre won the best race for the handicap that has been run since Ravcnsburys year, 1894. He carried the same weight as Ravensbury, 130 pounds, and beat Lord Derbys March Along, the favorite, by a head after a noble race and splendid finish, Robblns on Pomme-de-Terre holding his own with Donoghue on March Along. The race summary follows: Manchester November Handicap, 00 each, ,500 added. For three-year-olds and over at one and a half miles. Lord Zetlands Pomme-de-Terre, b. c. 4, by Poly-, melus Homstead, 130, 3 to 1 Robbins won. Lord Derbys March Along, ch. c, 3, by Swvnford Marchetta, 109, 2. to 1 Donoghue, second. G. Barclays Planet, b. h, !, by St. Frusquin Catgut, 119, 33 to 1 Strydom, third. Won by a head. Three lengths between second and third. Twelve started.
