AUSTRALIA AFTER GRAND NATIONAL The Australian steeplechase crack Mabu, 8 years old, by Positaho Fides, a big and extremely clever performer over the Flemington and Caulfield courses at Melbourne, Victoria, has been bought and shipped to England by Spencer Gallan, an Australian sportsman who lives and races in England. Mabu is to be entered in the next Grand National Steeplechase, to be inn in April oyer the Aintree course of Liverpool. Gallan won the Grand National Steeplechase of 1904 witli the. New Zealand bred gelding Moifaa and may repeat his success. Mabu holds the two-mile hurdle race record of Australia, 3:40, with 140 pounds up, made at San-down Park, Melbourne, November 30, 1918. On the same ship as took Mabu to England the; Steeplechaser Kinlark, who was presented by J. M. Niall to tlie Prince of Wales, was also a passenger.
