RECORD OF QUR LEADING STABLE WINNINGS OF THE REMARKABLE AGGREGATION OF YOUNG HORSES WHICH MADE H. P. WHITNEY THE PREMIER AMONG WINNING OWNERS OF THIS YEAR v This was a yenr of glory for the H. P Whitney stable. It presented a remarkable aggregation of superb young horses three-year-olds and two-year-olds. With these it piled up the greatest sum of money-won bj- any owner since the James It. Keene horses won 97,342 in 1907 and 82,342 in 1908. Since Mr. Whitney will have horses racing at Havana and New Orleans, it is possible for him to eclipse the Keene record of 1808. However that may turn out, he is now the premier of the winning owners of 1920, witli every dollar of the 70,510 how to his credit won by a horse of his own breeding. Of tills big sum only ,081 was won .by horses older than three years, decidedly an unusual circumstance in racing annals. His star two-year-old Tryster was his leading money winner and, if all goes well with him, should be a great three-year-old in 1921. In Prudery he had a two-year-old filly barely second to Tryster in racing form, despite her unaccounted for failure in the Futurity. In Dr. Clark, Upset, Wildair and John P. Grier he had four three-year-olds which would have been accounted man-els had not the invincible Man o War dimmed the brightness of their really high class, and below these stars was a host of young horses good enough to bring happiness to any average owner. Two of these. Moody and Exodus, which did not make any great impression this year, are liable to be right in the front line of the three-year-olds of 1921. Here is the record of the wonderful AViiitney stable of 1920: Horse. Col. and Sex. A. Pedigree. 1st. 2d. 3d. Won.
