THREE IN ROW FOR MY MAZIE Easily Accounts for King Edward Parks Main Race Hinphy Continues Star Riding. MONTREAL, Que.. August IS. My Mazie. sister to the speedy My Gracie. scored her third consecutive victory at this meeting when she won the fifth race at King Edward Park this afternoon. The race attracted the best field of the seven carded, and My Mazie scored a most decisive six lengths victory after lending by a wide margin throughout. Oaklawn Hello had the others well beaten on the turn for home when she bled. Old Pop, finishing fast, passed the struggling mare in the closing strides. First Pullet failed to raise a respectable gallop in the muddy going. The heavy rain of last night resulted in changed track conditions and the fields were reduced by many withdrawals. Showers again today found only the regulars in attendance. Jockey W. Hinphy continued his star riding streak by piloting My Mazie, American Maid and Mildred to victory, bringing his total up to fifteen winners during the five day.-.. Hinphy began hta success today by bringing home American Maid an easy winner in the third race, which suffered most by the blue pencil, six of tin: original fourteen entries remaining in their stalls. American Maid, with her popular rider aboard, was au odds-on choice and never gave her backers an anxious moment, winning eased up. Hinphys otiier two victories were as easily achieved and his followers gave the popular rider a great ovation after lie brought Mildred home in the van in tiie concluding dash of the afternoon. J. M. Coopers good filly Ragged Robin found the soft going to her liking and she made a show of her opponents in the first nice, having a six-lengths winning margin over Chantour, which just did manage to outlast Fair and Warmer for second place. Starter Elmer Wilson will leave here at the close of this meeting for Erie, Pa., where he will dispatch the fields at the Erie County Fair races.
