AVISPA was hard ridden for the entire race and outstayed EVIL in the final drive. EVIL showed the most early speed and was tiring in the final strides. CITATION began slowly, but gained steadily to thi stretch, where he was forced back. WITCHWORK met witii repeated interference in the first half mile. BEVERLY BELLE could not improve her position. NEW HAVEN" showed the way for a mile and a half and responded gamely when challenged, but could not keep pace with the winner. BEN HAMPSON raced gamely all the way. KNOT seemingly lacked early speed, but tinder a weak ride closed up resolutely through the last eighth.- TEN-LEC was speedy, but tired in the stretch drive. WYXXEWOOD finished gamely. AVAR NOTE rushed into the lead earlv r.na set a great pace, nut tired finally. SAAEKP CLEAN retired in the final quarter.
