Won handily; second and third driving. DOLLY VARDEN. showing a good order of speed, took the lead in the stretch and maintained her advantage under hard riding. RED TOM set a fast pace to the elbow and held on gamely in the final drive. PASTORAL was off well, but was forced to race extremely wide when entering the stretch and, after losing much ground, finished fast and was gaining on the leaders. LAST GIRL saved ground on the turns, but lier rider was unable to keep her straight and she swerved to the inner rail repeatedly. FOREST QUEEN closed a big gap. BEAMER was in tight quarters and was shuflled back. MARGARET HITE met with early interference and had on chance. PICKWICK slipped, through on the inside when entering the stretch and gained steadily, but failed to quite get up. DIOMEDES had no mishaps and tired in the final drive; ST. ISIDORE set a fast pace to the stretch and quit.
