DAY OF STIRRING CONTESTS Thrilling Finishes Mark Mondays Racing at Kenilworth Park. AVIXDSOR, Out., October 10. Stirring contests marked the running of todays racing at Kenilworth Park. The finisli of the fourth nice between The Decision and Earnest was particularly close. This pair raced head and head from the start and both were under a hard drive from the top of the homestretch to the end. The winner was in doubt until the official placing was displayed. After racing into a commanding- load rounding the far turn Spugs tired and just managed to last long enough to beat out the rapidly closing Betsinda by a neck in the opener. Beljoy and Quick Euh won their races by long margins. The races were run under bright, clear skies, hut over a track that was heavy and holding. Tliis was accountable for the many withdrawals. .The custom house brokers have notified the horsemen, going out of the port of Detroit that there will be iio change iii the system that prevailed in other years, which means that it will not be necessary to enumerate every little article which goes to make up "traps." At the conclusion of the meeting Clarence Buxton will ship a division of his stable from here to the Empire City track. W. Sidney Bender, who is here looking after the shipment of horses which are destined for racing at Oriental Park next winter, has arranged for specials to leave the following points on the dates mentioned: AVindsor, October 13; Cleveland, November 7; Empire City, October 30; Louisville, October 1; Laurel, November 2; Pimlico, November 1; Bowie, November -I. Frank J. Bruen, who remained over in Xew York to witness the ball games, is expected here tomorrow. Oscar Bookman was au arrival from Xew York. He will remain until the close of the meeting, then return to the East for a few days before continuing on his journey to Cuba.
