MARGARET AVHITE, off well, showed a good order of speed and gamely outstayed RED TOM in the final drive. The latter set a fast early pace, but tired badly in the stretch drive. AVAR NOTE set a good pace and held on gamelv when challenged, but tired in the-final thirty yards. MY PLAY was shuffled back in the lirst eighth but saved ground by .racing on the inside .and tired after getting to the leaders in the stretch. AKXUSTI saved ground when entering the sstretch and. ilnished fast and gamely. MISSIONARY was racing well when he ran out on the last turn. SWEEP .B,Y retired after going a good half mile. ESCARPOLETTE saved ground on the turns, but swerved out badly in the stretch CRYSTAL FORD set a good pace, but tired badly in the last eighth. MONASTERY displayed great speed in setting the early pace, but could not withstand the winners challenge. AA T. GRIAES gradually improved his position on the outside and o itstayed MERCURY in the linal drive. MERCURY saved ground on all the turns and had 110 mishaps.
