THREE FOR JOCKEY MATEE His Skillful Riding Feature of Tuesdays Racing at Jamaica. Neddam Wins Belgrade Selling Stakes Ohesterbrook and - Che wink Big Surprises. NEW YORK. N. Y., October 11. A new pair of riding Htnra took tlicir places in the limelight at Jamaica today. L. McAtec equaled Turner feat uf Monday by riding three winners, niyl J. Zoeller Knve him a run for the days honors villi a double. McAtec started his days triumphs with Chewink in the" second race, made it a double with Frank Kogarty in the third and capped the eliinnx by riding Neddam to victory in the Belgrade Selling .Stakes, which featured a rather ordinary card. Neddam went to the front at once and set n fast pace, while Valor, ridden by Fator, kept in close pursuit. Fator resorted to the whip at the start of the stretch drive and Valor moved up with a fine display of speed. For a brief space it looked as if the long Kant-ocas losing streak was about to be broken fiat the "green white collar and cuffs," which dominated the, metropolitan racing during the early porfC of . tuts year would once, more show in front lut,, Yaibr was not equal to the effort. Hie rush carried Ihlm to the" leader, but the pair, .crossed the finish with, Neddam .stilt jn frontby si heck. Ed-wlna was third. The Boy, which" trainer J. G. Wagnon .Wrought to Jamaica from Laurel to run in the. Belgrade, met with slight interference in the early part of the race. He gave way easily to Edwina for third money in the stretch struggle run. The track was dry and fast and a return of midsummer weather, after the unpleasant chill of the past few" days, attracted a large crowd to the course. Reparation outclassed his opponents in the opening race. Zoeller sent him to the front soon after the start and opened up a long lead on the turn. He won by four lengths from Rose Hill, with Nose Dive in third place. Rose Hill was outrun in the early part of the race and showed a good burst of speed through the stretch to earn second place. Reparation ran once more in the colors of his former, owners, the Allies Stable, which repurchased him Monday from P. K. Fouhy, who claimed him at Empire City. FLYING JIB A DISAPPOINTMENT. Chewink furnished an outstanding upset in the second race, which she won easily from Bullet and Pretty Lady. Flying Jib, the odds-on favorite, and Miracle Man, the well-supported second choice, could not get into the money. Chewink started away in front and stayed there all the way. Fator moved up with Flying Jib on the turn and challenged, but the Friar Rock filly tired badly and quit in the stretch drive. Marinelli was blocked, at the stretch turn in his efforts to get through on the inside with Miracle Man. He lost much ground by this move and the best he could do was to .finish in fourth position. MeAtee, who rode Chewink to victory iu the second race, completed a double with Pnpk Vn-aarty in the third race. He sent his mount to the f rout immediately and the WracK m i....ig o. -tinutkl to make the pace under restraint to the stretch turn. Here Pirate MeGee moved up rapidly with a challenge and the leader was forced to a drive. He held on gnmely, however, and held a lengths advantage at the finish. LEnjoleur was third. Cote dOr and Favour raced each other into defeat in their attempts to keep up with the pacemaker in the .early part of the race. They tired rapidly on the turn and were well out of contention in the stretch racing. It is becoming more and more difficult to follow the various movements of selling platers from stable to stable. Frank Fogarty has raced in the colors of three different owners since the metropolitan fall season opened. He was taken from the Qnincy Stable by P. S. P. Randolph. He was taken from Randolph, who under the rules of racing was ineligible to race him for thirty days from the date of the original claim. He was consequently sold to J. J. OToole, in whose colors he raced today. ZOELLER SCORES A DOUBLE. Zpeller completed a double by bringing Squaw Man, an outsider, home in front in the Caledonian Handicap. He sent the gelding into the lead at Once and kept him there easily all the way. Frigate was second and Siren Maid third. Frigate made u strong challenge in the stretch, but the early advantage established by Squaw Man was too great for him to overcome. He finished a length behind the leader. He Just managed to outlast Siron Maid for second place. Another outsider upset the judgment of the talent in the final race. Cbesterbrook, which has raced poorly in recent starts, and attracted practically no support on the lawn, came up in the stretch uuder a hustling ride by Ponce and headed Shaffer at the end. Good Times, the well-supported favorite, was third. Shaffer started off in fron and, showlug brilliant speed, drew away in the run down the backstretch into a good lead. He came into the straightaway with a good advantage and appeared a certain winner, but when . Cbesterbrook, which bad " be held under restraint through the first part of the race, closed up rapidly and challenged,- he had no speed In reserve to withstand it. Jockey T. Nolan was suspended for five days by the starter for disobedience at the post. Jockey 3!arV Saade, who has been ill with a sore throat and stomach trouble for some days, returned to the saddle in this race. He rode the favorite, Good Times, which kept well up until the stretch facing began. Here he quit bndly nnd the. weakness .of his remaining opponents rather than Ids own strength saved him the short end of the purse.
