CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Pat Dunne has sold a half interest in his stallion Under Fire to W. C. Goodloe and T. C. McDowell. Donnncona will be retired to the stud next year and stand at White and Garnetts farm In Kentucky. The sterling race mare Milkmaid has been retired to the stud and will be bred to Cudgel uext year. Insure your horses before shipping for winter racing. Let Hartford take the risk. John A. Payne, general agent, Cincinnati, O. Adv. Cudgel and nine brood mares, the property of J. K. L. Ross, have arrived at Harry Morrisseys Kempland Farm in Kentucky, where they will be wintered. TI10 seven-year-old mare Yellow Sally, by Star Shoot Frances McClelland, by Bermuda, recently purchased by August Belmont, has arrived at the Nursery Stud in Kentucky. Harry Morrissey will remain in Kentucky until November 17 before departing for Tijuana, where he will again officiate as starter during the coming winter meetiug, which opens on Thanksgiving Day. Among the stables that left Montreal for Cuba were those of H. E. Davis, M. E. Thompson, L. Daly, M. Seifert, J. Everest, P. Stire, E. J. Albright, O. Hawk, T. Hodge. L. Brown, W. D. Richey, II. w. Plant, R. Miller, J. Warwick, O. Tuggle; C. E. Hyatt, B. E. Graham and Dr. C. Miller. The largest number in the Montreal ship, ment was sixteen head, the property of H. E. Davis.
