Won easily; second and third driving. COLANDO raced in close early pursuit of ZORRO and passing him in the stretch easily held MANHEIM through the final sixteenth. The latter began sluggishly, but worked his way up and finished fast. THEO also began slowly and worked her way up into prominence, but lost ground by coming wide en the stretch turn. ZORRO set a fast early pace, but quit after going well for a half mile. The winner, entered for ;400. was bid up to ,300 and sold to S. Louis. KING JOHN, in close pursuit of the leaders from the start, moved up rapidly after rounding the far turn and coming fast through the stretch held MADGE F. safe in the final drive. The latter was cut oft on the turn out of the backstretch when she attempted to get through, but finished fast and ontgamed PASTORAL SWAIN at the end. The latter showed the most speed for thrco-quarers, raced LOArE TAP into defeat, but could not withstand the rush of the winner. LOVE TAP quit after showing much speed. DEVILDOG was always outpaced. MISS FILLEY quit. JOAN OF ARC was away poorly. The latter closed a gap and came swiftly through the hist eighth. MINUTE MAN" set a fast pace to the last eighth and finished gamely, but tiring. SLIPPERY ELM moved up steadily after rounding the far turn, but tired in the last eighth. WELLFINDEU ran well for three-quarters, then fell back to the rear. Scratched 5S.031 .Teg, 110. The latter began slowly, but saved ground on all the turns, was running fast at the end and would have won in a few more strides. LADY LILLIAN outstayed LADS LOVE in the final drive. The latter set a good pace to the stretch, but tired when challenged. BLAZONRY closed a gap. DIADI ran poorly.
