- MORVICH ENTERTAINS EMPIRE PATRONS NEW YORK. N. Y., October 25. The unbeaten Morvich worked out for the benefit of New York nice-goers before the races at Empire City today. He went an easy five-eighths, running the first eighth in 11 73. the quarter in 22, three-eighths in 34, the half mile in 47, and the five-eighths iu 1:00 Hi. Jockey L. McAtee was astride the two-year-old champion. Trainer Fred Burjew announced that Morvich will not start in the Ardsley Handicap at Empire Thursday as had been planned. He is being pointed for the Pimlico Futurity, to be run at Pimlico on November 5. The champion colt will be shipped to Pimlico on Friday, according to present plans.
