BRITISH OWNERS FAVOR PARI-MUTUELS Bdward Kennedy, one of the foremost of Irish brcc-lis and racing owners who owns the Straffatn Station Stud, writes to the Lsadea Times: "Bseae years ago. in conjunction with Sir William Nelson. I got up a petition to the Jockey Club in favor of the pari-mutuel. Every breeder in England who was asked iiad signed thi-. indeed, all told, in England and in Ireland. I had but one single individual refusal: and this gentleman who re-fused would have signed if he had understood that we never contemplated interfering with or excluding bookmaker.-, as has been the case in France."
