I i ■ MAX HIRSCHS 1922 STABLE | Horses of Quality Included in Trainers Establishment for Coming Season. Trainer Max Hirsch has a formidable aggregation of horses in winter quarters at Belmont Park. Five of the horses are the property of George W. Loft: ten belong to Mr. Hirsch himself, and one, Devastation, a useful four-year-old plater, is the property of Stephen Pettit. The Loft horses include the champion jumper Swci -pment, whose work last year was a sensational feature of the eastern season, and the more youthful Haiti, a four-year-old. which showed considerable promise through the field. The string is rounded out with On Watch, a flat racer of quality, which was kept on the inactive list during most of last year, and two two-year-olds of Mr. Lofts own breeding. Mr. Hirschs own horses include Flying Cloud, which showed fine form, but raced in had luck in Maryland last, fall: Sidereal, the medium of a big coup last spring; Long Island, which won one race impressively, but later failed to live up to his early promise, and three other three-year olds of moderate quality. Mr. Hirsch has four two-year-olds of good breeding and conformation which lie expects to show well in the racing of 1922.
