The pastern training season is now in full blast. Among the stables at P.elmont Park is the aggregation of racers which will carry t lie colors of .Joseph K. Widenc-r in the racing of 1922. The astute trainer. Tom Welsh, is in charge. JlunanUll is the Derby or Preak-neefl hope of the establishment, it remains to be seen whether or not this stable, augmented by a fine band of two-vear-olds. accomplishes greater things than it did last year. In the campaign of 1H21 nineteen horses tarried at one time or another the silks of the Philadelphia sportsman. Some of them have passed on to other ownership. Uoudini. the I steeplechaser, was the largest contributor to the stables total, and he was ably assisted! j by Rtmantell, which, as a two-year-old, won ».4o:. Here is the V.l record of the J. 10. The crack colt Touch Me Xot was tin- :tar of that stable bjusj year and its largest winner, it was a mixed collection of Hat racers and jumpers and, considering the limited amount of racing participated in by some of its members, the record made in 1921 was altogether an excellent one.
