ESSEX FOX HOUNDS RACING C NEW YORK N Y May 25 Prom time to time the sportsmen who devote their energies to the hunt club meetings hsve j played an Important part in racing It was j hunt clubs that kept alive the interest in 1 New York during 1011 and 1912 when by reason of adverse legislation the larger tracks under the jurisdiction of the Jockey Club were all closed These same hunt t clubs that Is several of them still have B their days of sport and in many sections it J is about the only racing that is offered And d it is real sport sportThe The Essex Hounds at Pcapack N J Iz one of the old sporting organizations that t continue to furnish delightful racing for their members and their friends This year the racing will be conducted on Saturday Oc ¬ tober 28 and entry blanlcs are already out t for two of the principal features These 3 are the New Jersey Hunt Cup of about four i miles over a fair hunting country and the Peapack of about a mile and a half on the flat The subscriptions to both of these 0 races close June L
