J S COSDEN PAYS OVER 60000 FOR SNOB II NEW YORK N Y May 25 When Snob II starts in the Belmont Stakes he will be racing under the silks of J S Cosden The purchase of the son of Prestige and May Dora was practically completed when Mr Cos den took advantage of tho option he held on the colt pending an answer to a cable that was sent John Sanford telling of the offer At that time it was understood that 00000 had been offered for the colt but it is under ¬ stood that the price paid is an ad ¬ vance over that figure figureThe The intention is to leave Snob II in care of Hollie Hughes who devel ¬ oped him for Mr Sanford until after the running of the Belmont Stakes He looms up as tho most dangerous of those that will race for the 50000 prize on June 10 at Belmont Park
