HSE03 XII. CAPTURES ANOTHER RICH PRIZE T.i -is. France. June 19. — Henri Coulons Heros XII., son of Fx Voto— Historienne, won the $.".i»,00t Grand Steeplechase de Paris at Autueil Sunday in a One field. The Due de Cases Corot, by Sweeper if.— Maine II., finished a half length behind the winner and Hugh Kershaws Music Hall, winner of the Liverpool Grand National, waa third. Twelve horses started in the big race. Including the pick of the jumpers from England, Spain and Italy, as well as the best of the French steeplechase brigade. The grand steeplechase is at about four miles. F. R. Hitchcock and Joseph F. Widener were among the Americans seen in the big crowd at the course. Mr. Widener was much pleased with the showing of Corot. which is a four-year-old. by Sweeper II. This stallion was recently purchased l v Mr. Widener from Mrs. II. P.. Duryea and will undoubtedly prove a great acquisition tor American breeding.
