Schelke, who winters at Toronto, announced that all 1 the Thorncliffe mares which were bred last • year had foals, five colts and one filly. Southern Maid has foaled a brown filly, a l sister to Captain Scott, by First Sight, Sky Rocket a colt by Calgary, Frolica a colt by First Sight, Cazarina, half-sister to Miss Joy, a bay colt by First Sight; Britain, dam of ■ Ocean Crest, a bay colt by Calgary, and Easter Lilly a filly by Calgary. All the mares 1 have been bred back to First Sight and Calgary.
