CURRENT NOTES OP THE TURF Insurance John A. Payne, General Agent, Cincinnati. Adv. Mose Goldblatt sent his first batch of twelve horses to the Empire City track Wednesday afternoon, and will follow with twelve more next Sunday. Jockey Marinelli returned East from Latonia, where he went to ride Stephen Pettits Devastation in the Independence Handicap-Devastation has been shipped from Latonia to the Yonkers track. Carroll Reid, of lloustonville, is owner of the colt by Fair Play, dam Loch Linnhe, by Lochryan, which is said to be one of the grandest yearling3 in Kentucky. For a time last spring it was feared that Rcid would not survive an operation which he underwent at Louisville, but he says he is feeling fine again.
