BEVERWYCK STUD DISPOSAL Beautiful Lady and Reveille II. Bring Good Prices Others j Small Ones. " SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. T.. August 23. Another mixed sale of stallions, brood mares, two-year-olds, yearlings, weanlings and a few horses in training toolc place last night under management of the Fasig-Tipton Co. The main consignment offered was that of the Beverwyck Farm, owned by the estate of the late Frank J. Nolan, and this brought 4,S50. Six other small lots swelled the total for the night to 2,GoU, an average of 51.415.G2 for each offering. Brood mares with foals at their sides made up the bulk of the Beverwyck band. This sale started but as though it was destined to assume large proportions when the first mare put up, Leautiful Lady, a six-year-old daughter of Fair Play Mileage, with a weanling chestnut colt by Old Koenig at foot, yielded ,100. The bidding on this one was spirited from the outset with "Willis Sharpe Kilmer, who eventually got her, J. E. Wid-ener, Dr. R. W. McCulley, Walter J. Salmon, Montfort Jones and R. T. Wilson participating in it. After this mare and foal were sold there was a decided dropping, off in the bids and the only other sale from this consignment of note was the seven-year-old mare Reveille II. and weanling chestnut filly by OJd Koenig, which went to C. J. Fitzgerald for ,500. The purchaser said that he bought the mare as an investment for himself and the same applied to Old Koenig, which he later obtained for 00. Most of the mares from the Beverwyck band were comparatively young and all appeared heavy in foal. The weanlings were healthy-looking specimens. R. T. Wilson was in the market for a brood mare last night and, fter failing to obtain any of the high-priced ones, despite numerous bids, he finally acquired Coronet, a twelve-year-old daughter of Voter Rose-garland, for ,000. Genie W., a Star Shoot mare which raced for M. J. Murphy until several months ago, brought ,000 at last nights sale. There was active competition from all sides for this one, but she finally went to Larry Carey. C. A. APPlegate added Leatherface to the sales at the last minute and he was sold for 00. John E. Madden added two more brood mares to his already large band, Royal Martyr and Pleione, both of winch were offered by Gifford A. Cochran. The summary of last nights sales follows: Property cf J.
