Won cased up; second and third driving. AL STEBLER set a good pace from the start and won in a canter. ARDELLA gained steadily on the outside, but could not get to the winner. ROCKGARDEN finished fast and headed the tiring ATHANNA right at the end. The latter ran a good half mile. Won easily; second and third driving. TRANTULA was outpaced in the early running, but gained steadily and, passing the leaders in the stretch, won eased up. RING ROSE finished fast and had no mishaps. ABLAZE set a fast pace, but tired badly in the final eighth. FLIBBERTYGIBBET gained steadily. LITTLE BLACK SHEEP came very wide when entering the stretch. ULTIMATA bolted right after the start and unseated his rider. FAIR GAIN raced close to the leader and made a game finish, but was easily held safe. IRISH JIG. shuffled back on the first turn, worked his way up slowly and easily outstayed the others. DOROTHY BUCKNER had no mishaps. WAR ZONE met with interference on the first turn. PARISIAN DIAMOND ran poorly in the going. The latter showed the most speed for seven-eighths, but tired near the end. ELIAS O. raced in a forward position and held the others safe for third place. LUCKY GIRL ran well.
