Won driving; second and third the same. NOTIME. under restraint in the early running, saved ground on all the turns and, finishing fast and gamely, outstayed WILD HEATHER in the final drive. WILD HEATHER raced in closest pursuit j of JOCOSE in the early running, moved up menacingly at the eighth pot and took the lead, but dropped back, then came again and would have won in another stride. CERTAIN, on the outside in the early running, raced into the lead while rounding the last turn, 1 where he saved ground, but began tiring in the stretch and was hard ridden at the end. LADY. MYUA 1 set a good pace and came a trille wide when entering the stretch, then, after being passed, closed steadily 1 and was slowly gaining on the leader in the final strides. PRINCE RECENT acted badly at the post and 1 began slowly, but easily disposed of BLUE AND GOLD. POLLY ANN lacked speed, but was i hard ridden and just got up for third place. CAP ROCK raced gamely and had no mishaps. BILLY BARTON raced in closest pursuit to the stretch, but tired in the stretch drive. TRE-VELYAN was shuttled back in the first quarter and never prominent. BRIGHT TOMORROW moved up rapidly while rounding the last turn and took the lead when well into the stretch, but crossed over before HEREMON and MISS SMITH, for which he was disqualified. MISS SMITH slipped through next to the rail in the stretch and bumped and knocked HEREMON oft his stride, then finished gamely, but could not overtake the leader. DOUGIIOREGAN began slowly, but yaiued steadily and was an easy-going third. HEREMON showed the most speed for a half mile. ALL AMERICAN closed a big gap.
