RING raced in closest pursuit, saved ground on the turns and made a game finish. FINCASTLE closed up ground and linislied fast. MARMITE lost much ground by a wide stretch turn. THEO came fast on the outside of MARMITE. CHIEF BARTHELL closed a big gap. ULTRA GOLD ran a bad race. LITTLE BLACK SHEEP raced QUICK RUN into early defeat and, passing him, drew away into a safe lead, but ran out when entering the stretch and swerved to the inner rail near the end. TOP TH MORNING carried hii big weight well and was wearing the winner down at the finish. SIROCCO was outrun early, but finished witira rush next to the inner rail. PANAMAN was knocked back when going to the far turn and finished fast. DORIC had no mishaps. COCK O THE ROOST was very fractions at the barrier. QUICK RUN quit after setting a fast pace briefly. FANNIE BEAN was messed about and raced on the outside after leaving the half-mile post, but finished fast. PROCYON ran well and had no mishaps. DICK DEADEYE quit after going a half mile. The latter was rushed to the front from a slow beginning and set a fast pace, but tired under his weight right at the finish. MADELINE LILLIAN came wide on the stretch turn, but finished with u rush.
