REDUCE COST OF SHIPPING RACE HORSES TO CUBA BALTIMORE, Mi, September 23. James Milton, starter at Oriental Park and assistant manager of the Cuba-American Jockey and Auto Club, has received word from the express companies that will be of interest to horsemen expecting to race at Cuba during the coming winter season. Mr. Milton announced that there has been a material reduction in the cost of shipping, the reduction amounting to a little more than 00 for each car shipped from Baltimore. A further concession has been made in the way of men accompanying the shipments. Six men will be allowed to each car as far as Richmond, Va., and two will be allowed to travel free from Richmond on to the distination of shipments, in other years only two men have been allowed as far as Richmond and none from Richmond on. Arrangements are being made for the shipment of more horses from Maryland than in any previous year.
