. I LAURELS BRIGHT PROSPECTS HAVRE DE GRACE, Md., September 23. Luke Cassidy, assistant to Spalding L. Jenkins, president of the Maryland State Fair Association, in the management of the Laurel track, came up from Laurel today and was busy allotting stalls to horsemen for the October meeting. Judging from applications that have been made for stable room at Laurel, Cassidy says that meeting, which opens a week from next Tuesday, is certain to be a record-breaker. Nearly every one of the bigger stables around New York has asked for reservations and have made entries for the stake events of the meeting. Applications for club membership have exceeded any previous year 50 per cent and nearly every box in the grandstand has been taken. A - .
