KEMPTON PARKS LAST DAY MONTREAL, Que., September 27. Racing for the present year at Kempton Park came to a conclusion this afternoon and threatening clouds and chilly weather marked the final day. From here the scena shifts to Maissoneuve, which opens the final meeting of the year on tracks of the Quebec Breeders and Racing Association on Saturday next. Close finishes marked several of todays races. The feature race was at a mile and a sixteenth and fell to O. Tuggles Homam, which made a fast pace throughout, but had to be ridden out at the end when Edith K. finished fast. In the sprinting race of most Interest th odds-on choice Happy Go Lucky barely got up in the closing strides to nose Starkader out. There was plenty of incident in the closing days sport. In the opening dash three horses well supported in the wagering were left at the post The Belgian IL, which was favorite, Lady lone and Hush. Kling, which was favored by the start, was an easy winner. The start provoked a demonstration by the crowd. In the second race Pittsburg threw jockey McAlaney just after the start. The riderless horse galloped around the track in close proximity to the leaders and forced Runnan wide on the stretch turn, eliminating any chance for that horse.
