Won easily; second and third driv-ing. EQUINOCTIAL rushed into the lead at once and, saving ground on the turns, set a fast pace and clways held the race safe. AMUSEMENT, away forwardly, raced in closest and game pursuit, but could not overtake the leader. WATERFEATHER slipped through next to the rail in the stretch and outfin-ished FAITHFUL GIRL in the final drive. The latter showed speed in the early running, but tired. MAZEPPA finished well. Won easily; second and third driving. VOX POPULI II. raced under slight restraint until in the final quarter, where he moved up fast and, passing FRANK B. into a long lead, won as his rider pleased. SYRDARYA jumped in good fashion and had no mishaps. FRANK B. led through the first turn of the field, but tired badly in the final quarter. MOHICAN lost his rider at the thirteenth jump, BOB REDFIELD broke down and was pulled up at the nintli and YOUNG EOLUS fell at the sixth. LADY INEZ, a forward contender from the start, saved ground on the turns asd, coming fast in the stretch, finished gamely and wore VIRGINIUS down in the final eighth to win drawing clear. VIRGINIUS raced into the lead on the stretch turn and drew clear, but tired when challenged. BELPHBIZONIA moved up menacingly on tho last turn, but was unable to overhaul the two leaders. HOY finished gamely. BLACK FIDAY rushed into the lead and showed the most speed for five-eighths, but tired in the stretch and was bumped and forced back. MX REVERIE, off forwardly, raced GALANTMAN into defeat and tool: the lead, but could not keep pace -with the leader in the stretch I rush. EXODUS was saved in the early racing and finished with a ru3h. GALANTMAN saved ground , on the turns and set a fast early pace, but tired. KN0BBE3 began slowly and gained steadily.
