Whitney Biggest Winner Bunting Leads the Horses, i Smallwood the Jockeys J The Harford Agricultural and Breeders i Association opened the autumn racing season i in Maryland with a ten days meeting at , Havre de Grace, during -which time seventy i races were run and 28,440 was distributed J in stakes and purses, the daily average dis- j tribution amounting to 2,844. With over 1,000 horses available for racing j it was not surprising that the fields were i large. The class of the horses starting in the stake races and overnight handicaps was such as to guarantee racing of a high standard. The daily attendance was large and the i volume of speculation in the mutuels of cor- i responding proportions. H. P. "Whitney sent a number of his stars to take part in the meeting and as a result j of their victories in four races, including Buntings Havre de Grace Handicap success, the name of the master of Brookdale Stud ay rears at the top of the list of the money- wimng cwners.
