McARTHUR raced in closest pursuit of the leader throughout and made a game finish. ANITA K. began slowly and was on the outside in the early running, but finished fast. DE LAND raced in closest pursuit of the winner throughout and finished gamely. BILL McCLOY raced prominently from start to finish. SIROCCO showed early speed, but began to tire when an eighth out. RING ROSE was saved close up to the last turn, then raced to the front in the last sixteenth and held the race safe at the finish. GRAYSSIAN raced into the lead, but tired from strenuous racing with HARP OF THE NORTH. MODRONO began poorly, but closed a big gap in a rush through the stretch. HARP OF THE NORTH set a good pace to the far turn and quit badly. MARK DENUNZIO raced well all the way. FRANK FOGARTY ran disappointingly. Scratched C54733Bill Head. 103.
