McARTHUR set the early pace and was taken back and saved to the stretch, then was called on when a sixteenth from the finish and, in a hard drive, outgamed FERNANDOS at the end. FERNANDOS took a good lead on the far turn and finished resolutely, but was tiring at the end. MY LORRAINE closed a gap and made a fast finish. PAULA ran poorly in the going. CAST IN showed speed.
