JIMMIE DAW moved up with a rush after going a half-mile and raced into the lead in the last eighth to win going away. HONOR MAN was saved to the stretch and raced into a .brief lead, but could not withstand the winners rush. WHITE STAR closed a gap and finished fast and gamely. McCOODWIN closed an immense gap. DR. MISS COLLETTE also showed surprising improvement and made a fast finish. PRINCESSE DOUILLY set a fast pace to the stretch and tired in the last eighth. SEA WRACK ran well. POMPOUS ran poorly. The latter raced into the lead on the last turn and made a game but tiring finish. BRITISH LINER raced prominently, but was a distant third. FLYING PRINCE ran fairly well. LUCKY HOUR showed great speed in paccmaking for a mile and a half, but tired when challenged by the winner. SURF RIDER, under hard riding, passed BUNTING in the last sixteenth BUNTING was under restraint for the first mile and a quarter and was utterly exhausted at the end. STARTER ran a good race. BAIGNEUR closed a gap. ADONIS was done after going a half mile. COYNE set a good pace to the far turn and quit.
