The latter came again and finished in resolute fashion. WOODLAND was crowded back in the early running, but saved ground at tlie neaa s of the stretch nnd tired In the final drive. LIEUTENANT SEAS made the early pace, then was taken back and saved behind the leaders and, : responding gamely when called on, rushed past the leaders and was going away at the end. SEA SERPENT was reserved in the early running and finished resolutely. PLUMCOT jumped well, but tired i in the final drive. EARLOCKER closed n big gap in the last half. JOYFUL tired. EXTERMINATOR began somewhat slowly, but gradually improved his position and, coming I through the stretch with a rush, took the lead in the last eighth and won casing up. .PARAGON II. ran a good race and moved up with a rush after rounding the far turn, but bolted to the inside fence at 1 the sixteenth post and fouled CAREFUL, for which he was disualificd. TRYSTER ran a disappointing S race, but outfinished TIPPITY WITCHET. The latter made a fast and game rush through the stretch. - CAREFUL set a slow pace for such horses, but was tiring when fouled. OCBANIO was taken back in the early running, but finished fast and resolutely and outgamed MUTTIKINS. The latter began slowly and tired in the last eighth. THIMBLE was always beaten.
