ffl. FATOR IN THE LIMELIGHT I Rides Four Winners at Toledo Large Crowd in Attendance. . 4 A AV. C. AVcant Finishes First and Second in Feature with Eulah F. and Plomed Two for S. Polk. TOLEDO, Ohio, October 21. The largest c crowd of the meeting was on hand to witness t the running of an excellent program today a and were favored with ideal autumn weather. 1 The racing for the most part was formful. The feature attraction of the afternoon, t the Secor Hotel Handicap, at a mile and a sixteenth, resulted in the heavily backed 1 Weant entry running one-two. Eulah F., i after staying close to the pacemakers t throughout, was the one to annex the major I portion of the purse, while her stablemate 1 Diomed was an easy second after making i all the early pace. Black Betty managed 1 to hang on long enough to save third place 1 from the fast-closing Lucy Kate. The owner of the winner was the recipient of a handsome blanket presented by the management of the Secor Hotel. Jockey Martin Fator gave a wonderful exhibition in the saddle, piloting four winners Runnan, Flame, Manna and Old Faithful. : The first three won with comparative J ease, but Old Faithful just got up in time to beat Blossom House. This was the second win of the day for S. Polk, he having won the fourth race with Flame. J. F. Hynes purchased the filly Ultimata : from J. AV. Pangle at private terms. Judge AV. AV. Lyles was a visitor today. He is arranging for the shipment of a carload of horses to Cuba at the conclusion of the present meeting. B. B. Rice contemplates shipping his string to Cuba at the end of the meeting and jockey T. Burns will accompany the stable.
