FLYING DEVIL raced welL BOWSPRIT was unable to improve his position. MARGARET LORETTA had no mishaps. FLYINO BOAT showed early speed and was pulled up in the last quarter. MARY PATRICIA gradually improved her position while racing on the extreme outside and finished with a belated rush. FLANNEL SHIRT raced forwardly throughout and, finishing gamely, outstayed THE DICTATOR. The latter set a fast pace to the last eighth and tired. CIRRUS began well, but lacked speed. Won driving; second and third the same. nEPHAISTOS was saved behind the leaders under slight restraint until well into the stretch, then took the lead and gamely outfinished EMOTION. The latter followed MODO closely to the last turn and took a brief lead, then tired, but made a resolute finish. HOROLOGE began slowly and was forced back while going to the first turn, but finished resolutely and passed MODO in the last eighth, The latter rushed into the lead and set a fast pace, but tired badly after going three-quarters. HUONEO ran well and finished close up. BOSECLIFF finished with a rush. KIRKLEVINGTON and TRANSIENT quit after alternating ia pacemaking.
